The C-View was not created with the idea of a short cut on the cost of a
RGB monitor. It was designed as a stop gap measure for people upgrading
from a system where they owned a reasonable composite or chroma/luma style
monitor. If they did not have the bucks to go for an RGB they could use
C-View and get viewable results. If you are going to be using your Amiga
quite a bit. A good RGB is the only way to go. Insofar as comparing the
three, roughly RGB – Chroma/Luma – Composite would equate to about 100 – 85
– 75 in the eyestrain department. I keep one at home just incase the old
RGB gives up the ghost. There is a 1702 Monitor waiting to spring to life
with a C-ViewII.
