Betty, CBM's mistake was in not making sure that all these dealers who were
authorized to let one make copies actually had it. I think that if they had
supplemented the policy with uploads to major services the same way they did WB
1.3.2 there would have been extremely few complaints.

I am not on BIX, but I believe they did upload the Janus things there.
Perhaps, now that they have established areas on other services for their
upgrades, they will see fit to put it up on them. I certainly hope so.

C/A uploaded some fixes to the Janus stuff to BIX, but these files in no
way make up a workable Janus setup. You still need the full Janus 2.0 disk.
They do have an area here on tech; I just wish they'd use it.

Betty, I AM on BIX and as far as I can tell CBM did NOT make Janus 2 available
there. They did upload replacements for some of the early version library
files, but did not offer the entire package. The replacement files will not
work by themselves unless you already have the other parts ofthe new release.
Thanks for the information. I only knew what I had read, and that seems to
have been inaccurate.
