I just sent a letter to EA for another purpose, in which I also put my vote in
for a DMCS II. I'd really like to see them do it, but I'm not holding my
breath, either. 😉 It wouldn't hurt for people to write EA and let their
interest in an upgraded Amiga version be known. Competition also has a bearing
on these types of decisions. Now that a lot of high powered music software is
becoming available for the Amiga, they may sit up and take notice.

My personal opinion about DMCS (MIDI or not) is that it really doesn't need an
upgrade as much as a sidegrade. The user interface needs a major overhaul to
make it generally usable. I'd much rather see an upgrade to Sonix to add
missing musical details (32nd+ notes, triplets, slurs, and more comprehensive
MIDI features…) than I would like a DMCS one. Alas, that seems like it will
never be. <sigh>
