I have an Amiga 3000 and a 1950 monitor. My question is, why can't the 1950 show the productivity mode correctly? The whole picture doesn't fit on the screen and I have to scroll around. Surely if IBM multisync monitors can display 640×480 the commodore multisync should be able to also! Or did I get a bad monitor? Also, when I go into 1.3 mode the system doesnt seem to know how to access my A1010 external drive. It works like a 5.25" drive… I mean, it knows how to use the diskettes, but it doenst know when a disk is inserted or removed… unless I give it the diskchange command from CLI. Why is this? The drive works fine under system 2.0 and it works fine on my A1000. The trackdisk entry is identical in both modes…. HELP! -Michael

michael, Are you using the 23-pin monitor jack or the 15-pin jack? If you're using the 15-pin jack, do you have the de-interlacer turned on? "Productivity Mode" is not interlaced, as opposed to running an interlaced hi-res screen and using the hardware de-interlacer. You mentioned 640×480 screen size. The normal Amiga screen size would be 640×400, so, some adjustment to the 1950 might be required to use a resolution of 640×480. If you could post a little more information about your set-up, it would help us to help you. I don't know offhand why the A1010 won't work, unless there's some slight change between it and the newer A1011 that manifests itself the way you describe. Perhaps others could shed further light on the subject. Hope this helps, 8) David
