[continued] The AI used to find alternate choices for misspelled words is not very complex. Odds are, TW won't produce a "good guess" list for the word you've misspelled. I typed in "managemant" and it found no comparable words. Unimpressive. Don't give up WordPerfect yet! Also, there are inconsistancies in the reporting of error messages. The first time I tried a spell checking operation, I chose the real-time spell-checking option. Leave that on, and TW will alert you to misspellings as you type. I higlighted the option, then started typeing. I made mistakes, and nothing happened. No bells or whistles. Curious. So I moved back in the document and tried the option that searches from cursor point to end of document. Ah! Now I get an error saying I've got to go back and load the spelling utility (a separate icon on the workbench). It didn't tell me about this when I tried the first spelling option. So there's some things left to be desired. On the other hand, it does edit text as quickly as you can type the stuff. When you don't make any illegal moves, it will also cut the text out and paste the text back into PPage boxes. I purchased Transwrite for less than $50.00 mail-order. If you have the money, and you use PPage, I'd say the package is a good suplementary editor. It can be used stand-alone for letters or anything else you'd need to type, but I don't believe it compares too favorably to dedicated wordprocessors like WordPerfect.
