#CGM Files on Amiga
8 messages in this thread
Harvard Graphics CGM files. Does anyone have a program or know of one to
convert them into amiga bitmap or structured file formats??
Thanks, Troy
I have a PC-based package called Micrographx Designer that will import CGM
based files, and export to TIFF, PCX, or other formats.
As a matter of fact…we do. A CGM loader for ADPro which is about to enter
beta test. If you are interested, give us a call.

Speaking of loaders…any word on a IMG loader? I know you said a
few months back that one was "lying around" unfinished. Also, have you
considered the potential of AdPro importing structured graphics such as
those from ProDraw? The ability to easily convert these clips to IFF's and
the like would be quite a boon.
Finally, how about THIS for a wish: to have an EPS loader which
would magically create a Mac-style bitmap header so files can be viewed on
PageStream! AdPro is great at SAVING EPS, but unfortunately the Amiga is
sorely lacking in any real way of USING these files at the moment.

I second that wish.

I would be very interested in that loader. You probably don't recall, but
I asked you about CGM quite some time ago. I'll give you a call (after my
ADP2 arrives). Are there *any* structured savers in the works? (Pdraw,
Aegis Draw, or any Mac or PC structured draw formats?)
Jim p.s. when I call should I ask for you?
An MS-DOS program called Hijaak will do this.
