#AM-Report v1.18

Charles, could you take not of a mistake that was reported in your last
AM-Report v1.18 regarding Hign Density Floppy drives:
It was mentionned that the machine (A3000) that had 2MB drives was bought 8
or 9 months ago… this is not correct; the machine was bought only 3 weeks
ago and but the way, please note that since then we received 2 more A3000
with High density drives in it.
By the way, keep on your nice on-line magazine! It's nice to read it!

Pat, where were these A3000's with HD floppy drives purchased (US?, UK?,
FRANCE?, GERMANY?)

Hmmm…I thought that sounded funny. I must've got th poster mixed up as I
reread that thread three times to make sure I was reading it right.
Obviously reading it once or one thousand times doesn't make a difference
if it's 3 am and the caffene supply is running low!
Thanks, and do you have a part number on the drive? I'd like to order one
for my A3000…
Another question in general…are the drives normal PC-type high density
drives? Will a PC drive connected in there work as a high density Amiga
drive? Is it software activation or just a tuned-up trackdisk.device that
recognizes the second write-protect notch?

Pat,
How about reading the model number on the 2mb drive in one of those
A3000s and posting it here. Please, please, please. Wouldn't happen to be a
Chinon FB357A? I sure would like to know. Knowbuddy (sp) at Commodore seems
be helpful on this subject. I assume you are a dealer.

Since I live just down the road from you, (Montreal) I would like to know
the address of your dealersip that has these 3000's with the HD floppy so I
can pay you a visit to see it myself!! I am also in the market for a 3000,
so if your price is right, maybe….. Thanx.
