NoteBook – The Program!

Ben –
I bought NoteBook yesterday and I have been 'playing' with it most of this
afternoon. It helps to at least browse through the manual. 9-) Overall I
like the program. I am interested in using to help make notes. Hmmmm,
could this be what it is intended for? 9-)
Anyway, I have had several interesting problems that I thought I should at
least mention.
First, a few words about my setup.
Hardware:
o A2000HD
o 40MB Quantum 40S
o 3MB RAM
o 3M MCD SCSI Tape
Software:
o AmigaDOS 2.04 (ROM)
o WShell 2.0
o UEdit 2.6h
o NoteBook 1.01
o ARexx 1.15
o Amiga Clock
The first problem was a screw up in the display. NoteBook got two vertical
lines in it when I selected the Scissors to CUT something. There was
nothing selected… I was just 'fiddling with the knobs' as it were. This
one has happened several times. You might be able to replicate it
yourself. The last time I tried this trick I thought that my Amiga had one
foot into the GURU. The display went really crazy with lines all over it.
Currently the NoteBook screen is 'munged'. The image is dotted with black
lines here and there. I corrected the "bleed through" on the WorkBench
screen by selecting "Redraw All" from the Workbench menu.
The second problem involves the use of UEdit with NoteBook. When I started
this particular UEdit session I was selecting UEdit from its 'tiny' window.
It was already running and being used. The UEdit screen came up, and was
then replaced by the Notebook screen. NoteBook had been made "sleeping",
i.e. I had clicked on the menu title bar. The problem persisted over a
short period of time. I think it may be connected to the fact that I moved
the tiny window from its upper left location to the upper middle so that I
could select UEdit's tiny window. Both Notebook and UEdit became active. I
re-selected NoteBook's title bar and UEdit was then active.
