Thanks for the info. Bought a recent copy of Amiga World. I found that I
live close to one of the larger Amiga Dealers (Creative Comuters) have you
done business with them?
I will visit thier store soon. I also have a spare syquest which I think I
will hook up when I purchase a SCSI board. Also found one advertised in
the AW.
I am anxious to get started, purchased some disks from Devware and
Zipperware that I found in the back of the Book. Will also purchse some
commercial stuff soon. Ordered Shareware Modem software so I can down load
stuff to my machine. Can I down load on my pc and then read the files on
the Amiga?
My company is involved in Broadcast Television Graphics. You may have
heard of us Getris Images. We make a 32 bit multi plane graphics system
that can move 32 bit images around in real-time. If you are interested I

If you purchase CROSS-DOS (under $30) you can download to a 720K msdos
formatted floppy (or 1.44m HD floppy if you have a HD Amiga floppy drive)
and read that directly in your Amiga.
There are also a couple of shareware/freely re-distributable versions of
CROSS-DOS like products in the library here or in AmigaTech. But CROSS-DOS
is one of the best values available in commercial Amiga s/w, and I
_highly_ recommend it… in fact, it is so godd, that CBM has incorporated
it in to version 2.1 and higher of the OS.
If you get CrossDOS for your Amiga, it can read MSDOS 720K disks, so you
can just download to your PC, and then move the disk over to the Amiga and
read it. CrossDOS is a commercial program that will cost between $20-30
at almost any Amiga dealer. It is well worth the money.

Sounds like you've got a pretty cool job!
Yes you can transfer files between machines… You need something called
MessyDos, which I think is Shareware, but I never used it, or a commercial
package called CrossDos, which I use and actually comes bundled with
AmigaDos 2.1 and up.
Your dealer should have a copy of CrossDos around, I can't remember the
price right now tho.
