The problem with the Mac-2-Dos not working when the Amiga drive did turned
out to be mechanical: the weight of the interface was causing it to pull
out of the socket and deform the pins! (It needs some sort of support.)
The solution seems to be a paperback book underneath to force it to be
perpendicular to the computer.
