#VGA to S-Video converter

Two issues:
1) How do you find out the names of the SYSOPs in the Amiga forums (or any
forums for that matter?)
2) Are you aware of any inexpensive VGA to S-video adapters available? I
already have the VIP Amiga to S-video adapter (from Dififex Corporation –
at $80 its a bargain!) and would like to do likewise for my IBM clone.
Also, while we're on the subject, do you know of any S-video switch boxes?
I'll need one if you answer "yes" to the previous question.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Read the Sysyop Announcement. At the Forum prompt type ANN;7 and you'll get
a list of the SYSOPS.
BTW, Michael Gerard's name is missing from the roster. I guess it is a
small oversight, and since he's the newest SYSOP maybe it is up to him to
edit the list?

As Chris pointed out, the (reasonably accurate <grin>) Sysop Roster is
available in the Forum Announcements – at the Forum! prompt, the command
"ANN" will give you a menu of the various announcements, and the sysop
roster is among the choices available.
As for a VGA to S-video adaptor, I'm not aware of one, but I'm not on
top of all of the hardware developments in the IBM Klone market. You
might have better luck in your quest by asking in the IBM Hardware forum
(GO IBMHW), as those folks tend to stay more aware of the options
available for ISA machines. (We have Amigas, so we don't have to know
what the other guys are doing :-).

response. By the way, that company I mentioned is called Digifex, not
Dififex (Daaahh…) This company is not mentioned in the Amazing Computing
Guide. It would be a shame if it went out of business – I like their
product a lot.

There's a company in the Los Angeles area called INLINE that might be a
source for your VGA to S-video adapter. We needed VGA to RGB video
adapters a couple of years ago at work, and INLINE had them on the shelf
for us. I'm afraid that I don't have a number for them here to give you,
though.
Remember that standard VGA has double the horizontal sync rate of a
standard TV signal, though.

I can get a product that will let you use your VGA on you TV, cost would be
$240 if your interested tell me so and I will get some more info on it for
you.
