I have duplicated this one and will submit it as a bug. I don't see any

I don't know. Tell me what you are doing specifically and I will see if I
can duplicate it. How are you copying the animation to the clipboard and
then what type of document are you trying to play it in?
The other problem, with the mplayer.ini rewriting itself, is probbably
related, in that something is clearly happening so that mplayer thinks it
can't load the animation driver, so it's telling itself so in it's .INI
file.

Thanks for your reply. To copy a flic to the clipboard: I first pick the
first frame as the in-point and the last frame as the out-point and then
select EDIT-COPY. I then open Windows Write (or Cardfile) and EDIT-PASTE
SPECIAL and select OK to paste the Animator Animation. Everything looks OK
up to this point, but if I try to play the animation, I get the error I
mentioned in my other message.
I've done this with VFW .AVI files without a hitch. Hope this helps, and I
look forward to whatever ideas this may generate…

I must have misunderstood what it is you are using to play the animations.
I thought you were doing this from media player. My copy of media player
has no such options as in-point and out-point selection and edit-copy.
What are you playing your animations from?
