#Flitape/VLAN Crashes
4 messages in this thread
I have not been able to use Flitape to render to a VLAN device. It always
crashes with different messages. The last message was
Abnormal program termination stack fault
CS:EP=0054:0002001
Any ideas? I don't think its a hardware problem as I get it on serveral
other makes of machines. VLAN here haven't been able to shed any light
too.
Help appreciated. Thanks.
Sorry Chris, but the Flitape code wasn't written by Yost Group people… it
was developed entirely in-house at Autodesk. Any problems with it ought to
be passed directly through Phil in product support.

If you are using the correct VLAN drivers and your VLAN is otherwise
functional, then it sounds like this might be a memory configuration
problem, where you may need to introduce a memory manager (if you aren't
already using one) and do the needed excludes and includes to clear up any
memory conflicts that may be going on. I'm only a little bit familiar with
VLAN, so you may need to get some help from them, as well, to answer
questions like what memory address their board sits at and so forth.
Thanks for the reply. I've done the necessary bits, disabling high memory,
using himem instead of qemm, etc but to no success. The system works fine
using 3D Studio to render and I can still render the flc files this way but
Flitape has a few advantages that I want to use. Flitape works on the same
computer with a Diaquest card.
Is anyone from VLAN on this forum/compuserve?
