Anyone hear of a streaming tape drive made by Tandburg? I'm trying to find
a distributor of a 500MB Tandburg streaming tape drive. If you might where
I might find it please let me know.

I just bought a Tanberg 3600 that handles 150 and 250 MB tapes for $175
(may be a refurbished unit). They could have higher capacity drives. The
outfit is Micro Dimensions in Mass. Their # is 508-650-9008. By the way,
my drive works fine.

Thanks for the info, I'll give them a call. The streamer I'm looking for
is needed by a friend who's mini-computer needs a new tape drive.
Apparently he has been using some sort of VCR tape backup system and the
card in the Alpha Micro 1200 he uses has failed. The support company that
sold him the software/hardware (specific programming for his type of
industry) wants big bucks for replacement unit, told him only this
particular drive will work, and are a pain to deal with if you don't
purchase everything from them.
