Help! I need to transfer some Excellence! (vers 2.0) documents to the-Ibm driven program Word for Windows. Is there anything I can do besides a lot of re-typing? Mark Allison

Mark, What version of the OS are you using? CrossDOS comes with version 2.1 and higher of the Amiga OS. If lower than 2.1 do you have CrossDos? If not you should get this commercial program. It will let you write/read to 720K formatted 3.5" floppy disks in the IBM format on your Amiga. I would save the Excellence! files as ASCII text files and copy them to the MS-DOS formatted disks. If you don't want to purchase CrossDOS I believe there are a couple of shareware programs in the libraries that do the same thing. I'm not sure if the files are in User or Tech but a SYSOP should be able to answer that question. These ASCII text files should be easily loaded into Word. Chris

I'm still using the 1.3 OS. However, I should be able to get my hands on a copy of CrossDos. Thanks for the help and advice! -Mark

Or look for multidos in the libraries here. It works like a champ.
