I just taught a teacher training class at Owens Technical College in Toledo.
Owens Tech has good facilities and they are setting up their 3DS program as
we speak. Try contacting Marty Weislak at Owens Tech 419-666-6163 X435.

Here I go Thread Hoppn'. I couldn't help but notice that you mentioned you
were teaching at a Tech. College. I've got a similiar situation "NOT" I
ended up teaching a a local Tech. College, (Actually an ATC) at the request
of the Training Center Manager only to find out that after I spent a month
on Course Materials and after I taught the class my paper work didn't Clear
because I only had 8,000 Hours not 14,000 hours in the AutoCAD Field. BTW
the course I taught was on 3-D Studio not AutoCAD so I really don't think
it would've been possible to have anyone teach 3-D Studio with 14,000
hours. The problem is I only have two years of College going back to 1973.
Bummer. Question? Are there any Technical Colleges or ATC's That hire none
degreed competent Multimedia Instructors, You know AutoCAD 3-d, AME 2.0,
3-D Studio, The usual?

I'm not an ATC manager so I can't claim any knowledge about ATC hiring
requirements. I do think that the school you dealt with was being
short-sighted about the 14,000 hour rule. Since the government considers
2,000 hrs/yr to be full-time employment, the school was requiring 7 years of
experience. 3DS hasn't been around that long!
You might try visiting section 11 of this forum, that's Educational Issues
and a lot of ATC people hang out there. It would be a good place to make
contacts.
