DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON AN INCOMPATABILITY PROBLEMS BETWEEN AN A1000 REV .A COMPUTER AND THE SIDECAR. A FRIEND OF MINE JUST BOUGHT A NEW SIDECAR AND FOUND THAT WHEN INTERFACED TO HIS COMPUTER THE A1000 WILL INTERMITTENTLY RESET ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE KICKSTART PROMPT. WE HAVE TESTED HIS SIDECAR WITH MY A1000 AND IT WOORKS FINE. HIS A1000 ALSO FAILS WITH MY SIDECAR. WHAT IS STRANGE IS THAT HIS A1000 SEEMS TO FUNCTION FINE BY ITSELF. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INO PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE. THANKS PERCY

Percy, Is this a US SideCar or a Canadian SideCar? Some of the very early SideCars (sold only in Canada) had some of the typical expansion port problems. The fix is to either replace the PALs on the daughterboard, or add grounds to them. I'd suggest you have a dealer do the repairs. Try grounding the PALs first, and if that doesn't work, then replacement is the next step. The grounding helps with either the US or the Canadian versions of SideCar. Whoops…also, does your friend have any other expansion devices on his A1000? Don
