functions of custom gadgets, use different fonts for different onscreen
functions, improved filetype recognition, works with PowerPacker files.
For AmigaDOS 2.0:, Middle mouse support as hotkey, can now use AppIcon on
Workbench.
Using Directory OPUS 4.0
Easier, more intuitive operation: AppIcon/AppWindow support under
AmigaDOS 2.0. To perform the function connected with any onscreen button
visible with Directory OPUS opened on Workbench, simply drag and drop an
icon on that button, to perform that function. Drop a drawer on a lister
and it will show you the drawer contents.
Filter by file name: Search and Scan files functions now let you
provide a file filter. This makes it possible to only search filenames
that match the dos pattern "#?.doc" for example.
Font Viewer: The internal ILBM/ANIM viewer is able to view any
bitmap font. (For more info on this, see ILBM/ANIM viewer.)
Disk Operations: Disk operations include DiskCopy, Format and
Install. Supports all 2.0 and 3.0 formats. This is an external, loadable
module.
Print Operations: A complete text file printer is provided as an
external loadable module. This system supports margin setting, tab
expansion header and/or footer, with page numbering and custom print
styles. It works with the full range of printer drivers provided with the
operating system. Postscript printing is supported with OS2.1 and beyond.
Print/Dir allows for disk catalog printing.
ILBM/Anim Viewer: Directory OPUS 4.0 will now show all ILBM (along
with brushes). It supports all modes including the new formats of AGA/AA
of the A4000 and A1200. Examples of these formats are 640 x 400 x 256
colors HAM8 (256,000 colors). OPUS also supports the custom ILBM format
known as SHAM. The new system also supports viewing fonts, brushes, icons,
anims and brushanims. All of these support the help key. The help key
gives you information about the image or whatever else you are viewing.
