Greg, If you are using ASPI drivers, try adding the /L parameter: [CONFIG.SYS] DEVICE=C:\util\ULTRA\USPI24.SYS /L DEVICE=C:\UTIL\ULTRA\DRD60ASP.SYS /D:MSCD0001 /N:6 /S:5 /C:CDP [AUTOEXEC.BAT] C:\util\ULTRA\MSCDEX.EXE /D:MSCD0001 /E USPI24 is UltraStor's ASPI device driver; your name may differ depending on the SCSI HA you use. DRD60ASP is the Pioneer-suppled ASPI driver. I load both of them high on my machine. MSCDEX has to go low as 9 other drivers are high too. BTW, I have the newer DRM-604, but you might find the same drivers supplied with the 600. Also, try Pioneer's BBS at (408) 748-2105. Regards, Mark

Mark, Thanks for your response. Since we are using the bundled Future Domain controller we aren't using ASPI. I'll take into account the parameters you have in your config.sys and autoexec.bat and see if it changes anything. This is actually the first time I've heard of the 604. What are the differences with the 600? I'll also give Pioneer's BBS a try. Greg.

Greg, Not much difference between the 600 and the 604. Except that the 604 does data transfer at 600K/sec (4 times that of the 600), supports CD-ROM XA, and single session PhotoCD. With a pending ROM upgrade, it will also do SCSI II and Multisession PhotoCD. The outside of the boxes actually looks about the same. <G> Regards, Mark
