Sounds like you may have a problem with a 'soft error'…. often caused by
termination problems or conflicts in upper memory.
Boot up with a 'clean' CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT and see what happens.
Regarding your 12/24/92, have followed NEC tech and used a bare-bones
config and autoexec set-up. Same CDR103 message. Is there a hardware
incompatability list? I wonder if I have an incompatible VGA card. It is
a Renaissance Super RVGA II. I have even tried booting from a floppy on
Drive A with nothing but the boot files and the bare-bones config and
autoexec files. No luck! Is there a diagnostic program that would help?
The SCSITEST didn't help. Any other thoughts? Will appreciate anything
you can suggest.
