Help!!
For a Christmas pressie I have been given a Philips CDD 462 CD-Rom Drive.
It's installed and working, everything is fine, but…..
With it came a CD "An Introduction to Photo CD. I can't play it! No .exe,
.bat or .com files on it. There are no instructions, in fact there is no
mention of it at all. Neither is there any mention at all of how to go
about getting your photos onto the CD.
This is so frustrating when everywhere is closed!
Can anybody help me get it started?

Jill:
Some CD Rom players won't play Photo CD. I am not sure about your machine.
If you have access to a Philips CD -I or a kodak Photo CD player (maybe at
the store today) you can try the disk to see that it is working.
Your problem nay be that you simply don't have the software to run Photo
CD. Kodak makes a package for about $40.00 and there are others. Now that I
think of it that mostlikely your problem.
Photos are put on the CD buy taking your negatives, slides (BW or Color) to
a Kodak photo finisher offerring the service. I have had a test disk made
from old slides (30 years) new slides, graphics, color negatives, black and
white negatives and even black and white slides. They all look great.
It is worth your effort to learn more about photo CD it is certainly going
to be a big item in the production world and I believe the consumer realm
also.
