#aniplay?

Hi! So I got a lead on a program "aniplay.exe" but can't find it anywhere
in this forum. Where abouts, would you figure?
Also, how do I access those libraries I'm not authorized to access… dumb
question. What are those libraries I'm not authorized to access?
aniplay.exe was the original vga-only (320x200x256 colours only, I think)
utility bundled with animator and 3ds. It has largely been superseded by
aaplay.exe and others – however, I recommend a small, downloadable,
independent, shareware program call play80.zip in lib 10, utilities which
will do svga animations, is scriptable, and works with most brands of
cards. It is very small, efficient and fast. If that doesn't work you could
try player.exe in lib 2 Autodesk Animator which is Autodesk's player
program which isn't as good as play80.zip if you ask me, although it's
freeware kinda.
Well, I was suggested aniplay.exe because it would play on a targa+ video
board. But the way you describe it, it's just a vga player. Hmmm…
James,
I just rechecked my aniplay.exe and it does indeed allow the use of a
targa+ driver to allow video output etc. and it allows svga, only problem
is that it's large and needs several files. All the files necessary zipped
up are 255k which is a little too large for me to e-mail to you. I'll check
again in the libraries, I'm surprised it's not there. Don't you know anyone
locally with animator pro?
