If you are doing an AXP process like explode/disintegrate etc. is there any way to "see" if you are getting the desired effect? Can you render say every "nth" frame to get a "preview"?

Judy, an actual preview (doing a preview/make) won't show the results of an axp process. You'd need to do a full render, but could use a range with every nth frame to check the effect and render to a flic. You can use flat shading to get a faster test.

I use a 256×240 rendering screen, and flat shading mode with antialiasing off, rendering every 2nd frame to low-palette flics. That gives you an incredibly fast way to preview the particle system effects.

Thanks — I will try that. You can see the result of SNOW & RAIN easier than explode and disingegrate. Judy
