Help. We are trying to load Animator Pro v(latest?) on an IBM Thinkpad 750c. Black screen of death after typing ANI. Any suggestions.

It's the video driver. Check and see if there is a VESA driver for the LCD display. If there is, load it befor running ANI Pro. You might try some fo the other video drivers, but i'm not betting on it.

Bob (Robert M. Watson), Hate to disagree <g>, but Ani Pro boots in 320 x 200 VGA mode the first time it is initialized (or anytime it is initialized from a directory that does not include an aa.cfg file). After that, you can have it boot into SVGA mode via a VESA driver. Other Bob (Bob Need), I would suspect memory management, or a compatibility problem with the Think Pad in 320 x 200 mode. Simplest solution, clean the memory management out (how many times have we heard this on from AutoDesk guys?<BG>) and see what happens. I'll be back-up tomorrow night, let me know what happens! Hope it works, Chuck

ah yes, try _not_ running EMM386 in your config.sys (or using the command line option to give it at least 4 MB). Chuck Jameson Silver Tongue Software
