Ed, Thanks for the tip about the filename of SSFLIC in the What's New library. >>Setup (under desktop) does not do anything<< I don't understand why Setup in the Desktop applet does not work for you. Be sure to have SSFLIC.SCR, AAPLAY.DLL and SSFLIC.HLP in your windows directory. Subsequently, start the Desktop applet and select 'Flic Player' in the Screen Saver 'Name' drop down list. Now, if you select 'Setup…' the Flic Player Setup dialog should appear. >>Should there be an EXE file included?<< No, there is no EXE file. Windows screen savers are programs with the extension SCR. All screen savers should reside in the Windows directory or else the Desktop applet will not find them. (Remember that you should have Windows 3.1 to use the screen savers.) You can copy SSFLIC.SCR (or any other screen saver for that matter) to SSFLIC.EXE and then run this program. If you pass /s as a commandline parameter when running the screen saver, it will perform just as if the screen saver was activated. If you pass /c or no commandline parameters, the screen saver Setup dialog will appear. >>You might want to add that it is necessary to re-start WINDOWS<< It is not necessary to restart Windows for the new screen saver to be visible in the Desktop applet. Every time you invoke the Desktop applet in Control Panel, it will search for all available screen savers in the windows and system directories. All screen savers that have been found for that instance of the Desktop applet will be listed in the Screen Saver 'Name' drop down list. Bert Steenbeeke.
