Real 3D

Russel,
Hey, thanks for the tip on Frontier. I'll just go quietly stick my
foot in my mouth, how stupid of me. 8.5 light year limit. What, an me tryin ta
go clear to the end of the universe, well when in doubt push the scary read
button, if that dosen't do anything read the manual.
Regarding Real3D. You bet I like it. Only one problem, it has so many
features and so much power it's overwhelming. I feel like Wayne and Garth "I'm
not worthy, I'm not worthy." It's just incredible. Let me tell ya, when they
say it has a configurable interface, they aren't pulling any legs. I just set
mine up like this: I have two seperate Real 3D screens (1 is productivity with
256 gray scale, other is 800×600 HAM8). Screen 1 has two tool windows (so I
don't have to go up to the menu bar, of course there are so many tools I don't
remember what does what) a select window, and a large view window. The other
has four view windows, front, top, side, perspective (largeest). I do my
modleing on screen one and my quick renders on screen two. It's fast as all get
up too. I can have it draft render in HAM8 while I continue with my modling,
very little speed loss. I could go on forever enumeraqting it's virtues. I
love it. Admittedly I had a day or so of trying to get to grips with the
interface, but now I've got it down. If you can spare the cash, it's well
worth it. Heck I'm just Midshipman at the Merchant Marine Academy, maybe I'll
do some 3D ships for the guys at school. Try it You'll like it!
Gotta go, Thanks Again!
