Bug form for 3D Studio Vibrant drivers. Please make sure you include the following information in your CompuServe message when reporting problems with 3D Studio video drivers. Thanks. 3D Studio Release____3DS4___(e.g. 3DS4) Vibrant Driver Version_1.0.5.P1 (Oct 7 1994)_(e.g. 1.0.5.P1) Computer System (486, etc.) : 486-66 DX/2 VESA / ISA bus Memory Manager : Microsoft HIMEM/EMM386 from DOS 6.21 Video Board name__Impression (3Mb)____(e.g. Stealth 24) Manufacturer__Matrox______(e.g. Diamond) Chipset_______MGA_________(e.g. S3) Bus type____VESA-VL_______(e.g. VLB) Total DRAM_____0__________(e.g. 0 M) Total VRAM_____3Mb________(e.g. 1 M) BIOS version_2.7a Rev 1.1_(e.g. 2.01) (check for this with MSD.EXE, readout during cold boot, or diagnostic software supplied with video card) Problem – please include information about video resolution: Though the MGA Setup program's Graphic Mode Test performs correctly in the Vibrant configuration screen, pressing escape darkens the screen and only a power down will reset the system. Have spoken w/ Phillip L. Miller at Autodesk who uses the ISA bus version of this card with no trouble. VESA compatible selection (with MGA VESA driver) in Vibrant configuration works fine. I have been having a problem with the most recent version of Vibrant that I didn't have in the previous one. When I attempt to set the Main Display to 1280x1024x256 colours the image of the screen is pushed right to the left. I only see about 3/4 of the screen. I can't get it to move to the right even with the adjustments on the control panel of the screen. It won't budge. What is strange is that I have no problem displaying this resolution using the 1.0.2 version of the vibrant drivers, though the refresh rate wasn't so good. My details are: 3D Studio Release____3DS3 Vibrant Driver Version_1.0.5.P1 (Oct 7 1994) Computer System (486, etc.) : 486-66 DX 2 Memory Manager : Microsoft HIMEM DOS 6.2 Monitor MAG 17" Video Board name__Matrox Ultima 2M Manufacturer__Matrox______ Chipset_______MGA_________ Bus type____PCI Total DRAM_____Don't know Total VRAM_____Don't know BIOS version_3.1b revision 1.3 Could you keep me posted about this problem since I want to use the higher resolution. Thanks.
