Hi,
After several delays I have made it thru the 3ds (v3) tutorial once and
I am reviewing several sections. I spent about half of today unsuccessfully
trying the following (and would appreciate any pointers on my errors).
I would like to make an irregular 3-d path and loft that to be a "tunnel", then
I would like an object, smaller in diameter than the tunnel, to follow the same
path. For now I just made a donut with path vertices moved in, out, up and down
to make the tunnel.
The problem I am having is that the tunnel path, when retrived as a loft file
in the keyframer, does not align with the lofted tunnel. It is located adjacent
to the tunnel and also has a different scale. Thus when I assign a sphere to
the path it fails to follow the tunnel.
The end product I hope to make is a blood vessel that will have multiple
smaller objects (red blood cells, WBCs, etc) traveling within the lumen.
After thinking on the way home, the only idea I have is that the snap grids may
be the cause.
Any ideas folks?
thanks!
