> Can somebody tell me whether 3d studio will run on OS2? Yes, it does. I'm running 3DSr3 under Warp now – I wouldn't consider DOS, because that means I'd have to use FAT. OS/2's HPFS is much better for 3DS work. > Will it run in a window while rendering; that is can I multitask > while waiting for a rendering? Yes, but I don't recommend running it in a window – just switch it to the background. My system has an S3 805 video card. I set my MAIN display for 16 colors, and that allows it to run in the background. I've been told there's a way to get a SLAVE rendering setup without ANY graphics display – that would be GREAT, but I haven't found out how to do that – I downloaded the latest VIB3DS, but no clue. BTW, if you're really into OS/2, you can run 2 copies of 3DS on the same machine. Put one in SLAVE mode in the background, and run the other as a modeller – render to the network, and your background copy will do your rendering for you. This is more for show than anything else, but it works. — Doug Azzarito

Doug, << I've been told there's a way to get a SLAVE rendering setup without ANY graphics display – that would be GREAT, but I haven't found out how to do that >> Use the Vibrant NULL driver. It is at the very bottom of the list. Mark
