After rendering most of the sample Vorlon scene file (380 out of the 450 frames), I would like to say that this is one of the best models I have downloaded from CIS. And that's despite the fact that the IFF surface detail map is missing from the archive. Just use the GenericPanels map from the LW examples and it still looks pretty good. Also, I reduced the luminosity of and colour saturation of the bright green part of the gun interior (surface VorlonGun1), and added a point source light with flare between the tips of the tentacles. Now it just needs some sort of animated "arcing" between the tips and the light flare to complete the effect. Thank you, Dean A. Scott !! Your work is indeed an inspiration (and a useful tutorial) to aspiring modelmakers like myself. Martin Kay, ZEN Computer Services, UK
