#Cycling IPAS
4 messages in this thread
I am using the VAPOR and the FLAME routines to create some very nice burning
animations. I am using the animations in an interactive environment,
consequently they are cycling all the time. My question is this; is there a
way in the settings for the AXP's that the last frame of the animation can
actually be a duplicate of or close to the first frame to give the appearance
of a seamless and continuous production of smoke and flame? It's fairly
obvious (at least to me) to see when the animation starts over. I guess the
analogy would be copying frame 0 to your last frame in the Keyframer to make
sure that as you cycle, it appears seamless.
Is that possible here?
Thanks,
Chris
This is a really good question or wish. The ability to do cycles would be a
great help.
Since Skin and Vapor are fractal-based, there's no way to cycle them directly.
But there are plenty of ways to use post-production tricks to make them
cycle… the most direct way being a cross-dissolve from the end of a cycle to
the first 7-10 frames of that cycle. Animator Pro is a great way to pull of
tricks like this.
