Actually I got something to work last night, but it seems like I'm really
forcing it and missing something important here.
frame box
——– —–
0 top (just out of view)
9 middle (of view)
18 bottom (out of view)
I put a repeat on position and rotation keys. Then make a copy of box and
slide the tracks to frame 9. I then need a matte object to block the box-copy
for the first 9 frames. I made the total animation 36 frames long.
When going to tape, drop 0-36, then repeat 19-36 as long as I need to loop.
I was worried about frames 17 and 18, and field rendering. That is where "box"
makes the big jump back up to the top. Apparently it will be okay, however.
But, since in the real animation the box (or leaf) will pass in front of a
reflective object, will the matted box-copy appear in the reflection?
After all of this, doesn't it seem like there is an easier way? Am I still
missing something?
Thanks for your reply.
