To anyone who is tired of doing a test renderings and then shutting down to remove the large Phar-Lap swap file. Move to WARP! OS/2 provides as much virtual RAM as 3DS needs. 3DS therefore never creates a swapfile! OS/2's swap file size is dynamic(based upon the need of 3DS). I can't tell you how happy this made me to discover. You can also send TGA's to your PAR in the back ground while your say posting email on Compu-Serve! Scott Lunsford

Harry, Download the file 3DSOS2.ZIP in the 3DS download section. It contains all the settings you will need. Scott

Scott, I purchased Warp recently. I have a Diamond Viper w/P9000 chip 2meg version. Though Warp runs fine, as do all my Windoze apps, 3DS will not run. The Vibrant drivers return an error saying it can't make a BIOS call to my board!? Is there anything you know of that I can do to fix this? If I can't run 3DS, Warp does me no good. Thanks Jack

Scott, Just got my copy of OS/2! Have been reluctant to install it since I was in the midst of end-of-the-quarter rush at school (OH ST U). Any suggestions about the best way to set up for optimum use of 3DS? Jodi

Scott, Could you post the details of your WARP setup? I've installed it but I find that it accesses the disk when rendering a project that doesn't swap on my idendical DOS machine. I have 32M, so memory should be no problem. I'm almost at the verge of reinstalling DOS… Many thanks for any help, Paul Simpson – Hyperbolic –

Go into the DOS settings, set DPMI to enabled, and the DPMI memory limit to 64 meg or so. It sounds like your DPMI memory limit is too low. LAM
