I just got and installed the 3DS R4 update kit from my dealer. So far I love it, BUT…. The beta Vibrant drivers in the library support the Cirrus 534x chip (I have an STB Nitro PCI video card). However, the supposedly newer drivers that come with R4 (at least the files are bigger) don't. I re-installed the beta drivers and they seemed to work fine, at least for a while. After playing around with some of the tutorials and experimenting, 3DS suddenly dumped to DOS. Is this possibly an aftereffect of using the older drivers? I haven't had any previous problems with 3DS R3 breaking (at least after I set up a custom autoexec.bat & config.sys for it). Any light you might shed would be great. Ken

I'm not much of a driver expert, and since the driver-related issues are so complex, probably the best thing to do is what Jonas suggested… Nik Grant is the driver dude around here, and he can help you get to the bottom of it. Good luck! – G
