#Sony RGB monitor

Someone is offering to sell me very reasonably a Sony RGB monitor, CDP 13__. I
missed the last part of the #. It was used on an old ibm at with an old
original Targa video card, and the seller doesn't have any use for it as it
won't do VGA.
Will this monitor work on my Amiga 2000? Do I just need a cable? It has an
8-pin rect. RGB Monitor connection, with analog/digital switch.

I used to have a Sony CDP-13xx, but can't remember the xx. Might have
been 1304. It had a res of 640×480 specified in the manual. The other
descriptions you give fit. It had a narrow compartment at the bottom of
the rear panel with a hinged cover. You could check by asking Redmont
Cables if they have the Amiga cable. If they do, that will be your cue
<g>. Mine just needed the cable. I was also able to use it with the
FlickerFixer, using a different cable.

Forgive me, I didn't have the complete model no., hence the 13xx. I'll have to
inquire for the complete model #.
Thanks for the info! I had a feeling it would work. I don't understand yet
exactly when the flicker fixer is needed: my main application is the Toaster;
by buying this Sony, I would then use my 1084S as a Super VHS program monitor.

If the Sony monitor is a CDP-1302 or 1303, it is compatible with all the Amiga
modes. You'll probably need to get the right cable for it and Redmond Cable
