Steve, Thanks for the reply. Betty replied to me too, and I forgot to ask about the subscription details. Could you fill me in? Thanks, Al

Betty said that the Amigans might be closing up shop because the person who is the focal point of it is ill, and might be unable to continue to put it out. I'm not sure what the status is, but here's the address: The Amigans PO Box 411 Hatteras, NC 27943 $24/yr Perhaps Betty or Bill Hawes can fill us in? Steve

Steve and Alex, Twice recently I have heard from Dick Barnes, editor and chief writer for THE AMIGAN. He is quite seriously ill. In fact, his latest letter indicated that he is allowed to be up only two hours a day at present. He plans to use that two hours to finish up the current issue, which was almost done when he became ill (due to be mailed any day now), and then to do one more supplemental issue to tie up all loose ends. It is truly a shame for us to lose this fine publication. Dick is a most unusual person, and has put out a unique periodical that nothing else will match. Whether his health will ever permit him to resume has not even been mentioned. It will be possible to get back issues – three years worth. Details can be obtained from the address you gave in #33045.
