After reading the other responses, I concur with them. Hyphenathion usually is
a serious problem when something else is out of whack, such as a strangely
formatted file, columns out of synch, XMODEM padding (used to see that one a
lot on the PC), etc. Just STOPping would save your nerves a bit but not
alleviate the situation. Something like the "hyphen at right margin" fix would
get you around the immediate problem quickly, allow you to fix the cause, and
then you could do a search and destroy on the extra hyphens afterward. I've
had to do this the hard way with munged columns many a time.
