We are researching geological info on the Palo Duro Canyon. The Palo Duro
Canyon is located on The Red River in the Panhandle of the High Plains in
Texas. If you can help us, please do so!!!!
Hello Hal, I was just at Palo Duro while working on subsurface geology of the
Pantex Nuclear Plant near Amarillo — a pretty place (Palo Duro that is!).
Ther is a good overview of the geology in "The geologic story of Palo Duro
Canyon" by Wm Matthews, publication of the TX Bureau of Econ. Geol. (Austin),
Guidebook #8. It was the only serious geology I could find locally.
