#Imagine 128 Driver

Will there be a Number Nine Imagine 128 driver in the next relase of the
Vibrant drivers in Jan?
I hope So…I just got a new P5-100 w/ 32megs, and a an Imagine 128
1600×1200 w/ 4megs… I want a driver for it…BAD…just imagine a
220MHz 1600×1200 graphics card w/ upgradeabilty to 8megs…also add a
Kubota ActionGraphics 300, a 3D accelerater to kill render time to
10secs/frame…and what more could ask for?…BTW Kubota Graphics
Corp.'s ActionGraphics 300 costs $2200 and their number is (408)
727-8100…that baby is on my Christmas Wish List… 🙂

My setup is the same except I'm using a P5-90.

Does #9 have a trade-in for the 8MB? I do have the socket for the 220MHz DAC,
though my Nokia 447X only goes to 64Hz at 1600×1200.

That card seems nice, I wouldn't buy one know until support shows up (which it
should). By the time software supports OpenGL cards, that thing will be half
the cost it is now. It would be nice to see 3DSR5 under NT supporting OpenGL.
I've added Kubota's ActionGraphics 300 to the Product Support Wishlist –
thanks.

I didn't know there was a Vibrant driver planned for a January release. Where
does one find out about such things? (Thanks!)
As far as I know, the Imagine 128 will not be supported in that release. I'll
make sure it (and the subsequent notes on this thread) are recorded for the
wishlist.

That is disappointing. I was hoping drivers would be coming soon. It supports
1024×768 now, but I was using 1280×1024 on my Viper and was hoping to see 3DS
at 1600×1200. I may have to get a #9GXE64Pro to use in the mean time.
If Imagine 128 support isn't in the next release of the Vibrant drivers we
might have to wait for R5 to use it under Win/NT since the card is a Windows
graphics accelerator.
Sorry about that. I have not seen any of the plans for the next Vibrant
release and it would be a delightful surprise if I were wrong.
Thanks for being patient.
