Has anyone seen the FAST Video Machine with non-linear editing? I understand that NewTek has been working on the Toaster for the IBM while waiting for the Amiga situation to settle. However there seems to be problems. I'm wondering why it is that the Video Machine (and a few other video systems which I haven't seen) which has been around for at least a couple years is able to work quite effectively in windows as a total Desktop Video editing suite while Newtek seems to be having trouble accomplishing this. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not saying that I want to see the Toaster on the IBM. I just don't understand why Newtek would have problems with this. Also the digital effects on the toaster have never corrected the artifacting of the video image as it tumbles or shrinks. I've been told that it is the difference between a $50,000 system and a system under $10,000, however the Video Machine is under $10,000 and it seems to handle this quite well.
