Simon, Thanks for your response. I've had some indirect dealings recently with people working in the PC based Voice Processing Systems arena. My impression is that whole area is a regular minefield. Chiefly because of the lack of standards in the world of digital telephony, i.e. links between PBXs and PC based call centres. How are you finding it? My interest is more in the use of DTV for marketing type applications with ultimate ambitions of moving into the interactive video business. On the premis that convoys can only move at the speed of the slowest vessel, I have been exploring the capabilities/limitations of multimedia products at the low end of the market, i.e. Creative Labs Sound and Video blaster cards coupled with their double speed CD ROM drive attached to a 486DX2 66mhz PC with 12mb RAM and 160mb hard drive. Although this equipment is somewhat removed from the professional market, it is enabling me to formulate some conceptual ideas before making any serious investments. The DTV Forum I think will be a useful forum for exchanging views and experiences. I look forward to hearing from you again Simon. Regards,
