What a great place to converse!!
Any Avid users out there? I'm currently working with the Composer 1000, and
just finished with a sitcom, and a few industrials. Anybody out there looking
to discuss the quirks of the trade?…..
Release 5.2 anybody?
Send a message to Al Moore 71614, 3662. He uses the AVID frequently, including
the 1000. I use it (a 400) to off-line mostly although just today I altered a
:30 spot using a 1000.

Where is the Sitcom going to air, tell us about it! I have seen a number
of messages from AVID users, so I think you are in good company!

I use a Media Composer 8000. As a writer/producer/editor at a broadcast TV
station in Knoxville, TN, I've used the AVID to edit everything from :10 and
:30 second spots to half hour shows.
I'd love to share ideas, fixes, and frustraion with other AVID clickers.
BTW… I received a FAX from Tewksbury Thursday (12/20/94) that 5.2 was
shipping that day! Some of the folks on the support line say they've used and
love it. The interface is changing some and a few more FX are real time.

Hi! I'm an AVID editor in Stamford, Connecticut; I'm with a
production company that does a mix of broadcast and industrial work.
We just took delivery on a brand new 1000 that came with 5.2
installed on it. You'll love it.
