Hello Rick, I've seen the Fast Videomachine Digital Player / Recorder DPR. It works well and seems to be a good buy for this price, if you already have the Videomachine Board. (l do). Because the DPR uses the DVE Processors of Videomachine, it is fast and reliable, since no effects have to be calculated (rendered). On the other hand you are limited to the possibilities of the hardware, that means no true 3D effects and no morphing etc. Greetings from germany, Robert Mueller

So your saying that the DVE's are controlled by hardware (Chip) whereas the Toaster effects are mainly controlled by software ? That would mean the only way to add additional DVE's would be to but in an upgraded chip, if it's possible at all.
