There have been mentions of reviews in the Nov issue of New Media. Do you have
a phone number so I can get this issue?
It has been stated that most of the lower end desktop systems can deliver VHS
quality output at best. What does one have to spend to get 8, or Hi-8
quality?

This issue of New Media has really given me a head start in talking,
somewhat knowledgeable about Windows video capture cards. Other earlier
issues I have found to be quite informatiive and entertaining as well.

At this point in time, it is a significant jump to get into >400 lines of
video resolution in a on-line, non-linear editing environment. Systems
like the Video Toaster Flyer, Fast Video Machine with DP/R, etc., are
going to start at about $10,000 plus hard drives.
