Hello Scott,
First *I* would suggest you go into preferences and check the mouse
click speed. Experiment with it and get it the way you like it. The
problem that arrises (as I understand it) is that when the mouse button is
pressed Amy reads one click and then reads another when you release it.
Tis the way the machine was designed… (no I don't know why… guess only
God and C= know) Changing the speed that you want it to read the clicks
might help…. Then again…..

Well not exactly, Jamie. The Amiga reads a mouse down, and a mouse up.
The two together are a full click.
Why is very simple: if you push the button down, and hold it down, the
machine can know that, because it hasn't seen a mouse up yet. That's how
hold and drag stuff works — drawing, highlighting, "rubber band boxes"
etc.
