Mark,
I ran across a case in my service department where an upgrade to the
ROM chip "broke" Digiview. Seems that under 2.0, it was sensitive to the
revision level of the 8520 chip. It worked fine with a printer, and with
Digiview under 1.3, but reported "no video" under 2.0. Wierd, eh?

Jim,
Tis not a problem… really. 😉

Otto Pilot Engaged..
This may be a reach, but it might be the jump from 256k to 512k ROM. Slightly
different electrical characteristics. An 8520 that was already marginal was
past the edge with the larger ROM in the system.
8520s are a real pain in the butt. They usually get flaky and intermitent and
edgy rather than just quiting.
Well, it's possible… But then I saw the same thing on my 1000 also. I
seem to remember a few other people here on the forums with similar
problems at about the time 2.0 came out.
I do know what you mean about the general flakiness rather than failing
outright though. It's been my experience as well.
