Joan, First of all, in order to run AutoPilot you must have: (1) Version 2.04 or later of AmigaDOS (2) At least 2 megabytes of memory (3) At least 5 megabytes of free hard disk space. If you have all of those, you can go to AmigaVendor, Library 9, and download AP.LHA and APDOCS.LHA. Unpack them with LHA (if you don't have it, get it from Library 14 of AmigaUser, LHA138.RUN.) What you get will be a demo version of the commercial program. It will let you access email and the Amiga forums. Once you have the program working well, if you like it and want to use it all over CIS, you GO SWREG and register it. The price will be charged to your CompuServe bill, and the author will be notified that you have registered. He will then send you a magic email that will change your working demo into the full registered version that can access ALL of the forums, and you will get some new features that were not available in the demo. To download, set your term program for 8 bits, no parity, one stop bit. Set the protocol for downloading, using B or B+ if you have it, and YModem or KERMIT if you don't. Go to AmigaVendor, and type LIb 9. You will see the prompt: LIB 9! Type DOW AP.LHA PROTO:B (or YMOdem or KERMIT if you had to use one of them.) CIS will ask: Name for your computer to use, and you type the path and name that you want on your disk, similar to: DF0:AP.LHA At that point, if you are using the B protocols, the transfer will start automatically. If not, use the key strokes that your term requires. You'll find it in the docs. After you have finished downloading, and after you are offline, unpack your downloads and try them out. AP has an icon that says INSTALL, and you will click on that to get the program installed properly. However, this requires that you already have the Commodore INSTALL program on your Workbench.
