I didn't say emulation is a kludge, although it usually is, as I feel is the case with telling the the system you've got a SCSI device when you're actually forcing that down (IMO) to IDE. Robb

Robert, the scsi.library is an official documented part of the OS since 2.0. So the 'kludge' is the only elegant way to keep downwards compatibility. The best thing of course would have been if they didn't fall back to IDE at all but continued to use 'real' SCSI drives. Frohliche Xnachten to all. – wkc – … via AP from Hamburg, Germany
