HDToolBox asks the drive (via a SCSI 'read capicity' command) to report the logical block address and block length (in bytes) of the last logical block of the logical unit, with respect to all known defects. So your LT 540S is reporting what you get by HDToolBox, and this should be ok, unless there is some bug in the firmware of the drive. So they have to provide an average 'sectors per track' number on the sticker. As most of the abovementioned alien systems use to count the number of sectors per track beginning with sector 0, you should read '59' as the maximal logical sector number in a track that you have to enter to some strange installation program routines. This results in having a true average of 60 sectors per track.
