#Toaster 2000 in A3000

Question: Anyone know if it was ever possible to plug the Toaster 2000
into a 3000? I heard it mentioned (somewhere) that, with a slight
modification, this was possible.
Just curious, since I have just recently discovered that my 2000
Motherboard has a hardware hack (ala CBM) that makes it *impossible* or,
at the very least, very darn difficult to add another meg of chip ram to
it. (It's the "Kludge Tower #2", for those who are curious, that
interferes with the 2Meg Agnus replacement.)

It's been a few years and I've never personally done this, but _IF_ I remember
correctly, the Super (ECS) Denise of the A3000 needs to be replaced with the
older model that does not support Super-HiRes. That should do it, although I
think I also remember something that the A3000 case will be a little harder to
get back on.

It was possible to put the Toaster 2000 into the A3000, but it is an ugly
retrofit. There were actually 2 ways to do it, if I remember right. One was
to cut the case of the A3000, the other was to remove one of the BNC connectors
from the Toaster and move it to another location. Either way, you risk
damaging something :-/

It's very possible to run a Toaster 2000 in an A3000.
All you have to do is hack out a bit of one of the vents to make room for
the top BNC connector.
Back with Toaster 1.0 s/w, you used to have to change out one of the
chips, but the 2.0 release fixed that s/w bug.
